A swift summary of our Chaetura count at Middleton R. H. S. There were 154=
=2C of which 86% (132) entered within two minutes of the entry of the first=
one (2115-2116)=2C the fastest entry for the bulk of the flock that I have=
seen. Last entry was at 2125=2C except that at 2127=2C one came out as th=
ough having forgotten something=2C and went back in a minute later. As at =
New Glasgow=2C we had a Great Blue Heron fly over low=2C while waiting for =
some swift action=2C at 2052.
=20
This represents a slight increase in swifts over last week=2C on July 18=2C=
 when I counted 135 entering in a more leisurely manner=2C between 2112 and=
 2131.
