A brief report on the better birds seen/heard Sunday-Tuesday Aug 7-9, 2011:


Aug 7 Jakes Landing right at the main launch area: 3 Chimney Swifts
Aug 8 dawn at Site 22, West River (west of K Lake) 1 or more Barred Owls, 1 
Common Nighthawk
Aug 8 midday-evening Moose Island (NW corner of K Lake) 1 Common Nighthawk, 
Common Loons calling all night
Aug 9 Moose Island morning 14 Common Loons in tight group moved N between 
Moose Is & Indian Point into small bay & then moved opposite direction S 
into main K Lake. Some were juveniles but without binocs numbers breakdown 
impossible.
1 Common Nighthawk in evening, Common Loons calling all night.
