John Foster spotted an osprey flying low over the land close to Avonport Beach, and it flew right over our car as I was giving Janet and John a tour of local shorebird areas. Perhaps this is the same individual that Larry Bogan saw quite a bit west of here on Sunday, Aug. 14? Ospreys are very seldom seen in our part of The Valley. Cheers from Jim in Wolfville
