Hi All=0AYesterday was Keji Loon count day.=0AWe went to a remote lake for =
the count.=0ALoons were scarce on that lake but we did manage=0Ato see a bl=
ack bear which made up for the lack=A0 of loons!=0AIt was eating berries on=
the bog at one end of the lake. Just walking=0Aalong picking as it went. T=
he wind was quartering away from us so we=0Aable to paddle up quite close -=
maybe 20 m so got a great look.=0AAt the last it detected us and stood up =
on its haunches for a better look.=0AReally a fine animal, the grizzley nos=
e with the sharp pointed ears and the shiney=0Ablack coat - a great look. I=
t then bounced off.=0AI felt kind of guilty disturbing its meal but it is a=
lways a thrill to make a personnel=0Acontact with such an animal. =0AOther =
items of interest was a purple bladderwort, a ribbon snake and an unusual s=
chrub=0Aor vine which I am trying to id just now.=0AEnjoy the summer=0APaul
