BlankI've noticed for years now that when I walk in the woods in the =
fall I smell a particularly acrid (sour) smell every once in awhile. =
I've smelled it in northern New Brunswick, around Halifax, and here in =
Freeport (Long Island). A friend is of the opinion that it's produced by =
deer in heat; I wonder if it's rotting vegetation. Has anyone else =
noticed the odour, and if so, do you know what causes it?

Chris
