Hi folks,

I received a request from John Fox to post the following item to
NatureNS. If anyone can assist him, please reply directly to him at <jjfoxfox@comcast.net
 > and not to me nor to NatureNS (since he is not a subscriber).

All the best,

Chris

Hi all,

I'm a birder and naturalist from Virginia and will be coming up in a
couple weeks to do some whale watching trips out of Bay St. Lawrence (http://www.oshan.ca/
). Long-finned Pilot Whale is my target, it appears that NS is the
best place in North America to see this cetacean.

An offer. If anyone would like to hook up I would welcome the company,
and help with driving directions, LOL. I bird everywhere I go,
sometimes hard and sometimes not so hard. I'll be leaving the Sydney
airport at 8 am on October 18, returning to Sydney mid-evening October
19.

A RFI. I've been keen on mammals the last couple years, which are
harder than birds in many ways. If anyone knows of populations of
shrews, voles, mice, moles, etc. that might be found on my route I
would love to hear about it. And I've never seen a Snowshoe Hares, are
they in NS?

Thanks in advance,

John Fox
