A splinter group of the Russian Social Democratic Party called themselves "Bolshevicks" after an internecine dispute, using the term to mean "those in the majority" - even though they were, in fact, in the minority - but the ruse worked and in the long run they out-maneuvered the "Menshevicks" (those in the minority)! :->]. In British usage can refer to anything politically radical or left wing. A further usage (a kind of slang upon slang as it were ...) refers to anything that is difficult to manage or rebellious, which is the sense in which it is being used below, although, as Peter points out, it has been misspelled.
