It was a warm sunny morning and I went over to Port George on the way
to Middleton this morning. Tide was high. Not many birds, but there
was definitely a wintry feel to what I saw -

Common Eider  4
White-winged Scoter  1
Long-tailed Duck  2
Red-throated Loon  12     all winter plumage
Common Loon  1
Red-necked Grebe  2
Herring Gull  25
Great Black-backed Gull  1
American Crow  2

No Harlequins or Purple sandpipers yet.

Also there was a huge bull Gray seal - in fact it looked like a Walrus
or Elephant seal in some ways - I'll post some photos tonight,
surrounded by smaller (?F) seals.
