Subject: Baird's Sandpiper, Ruddy Ducks and Harlequin Ducks


At Duncan's Reef late this morning I tallied Ruddy Ducks(8+), a single Baird's Sandpiper, Northern Gannets flying by at 1-2/minute, and a single Red-throated Loon, although Fulton Lavender and Richard Hatch reported a movement of these loons while overlooking Chebucto Head. There were a number of Yellow-rumped Warblers in the Duncan's Cove area. American Tree Sparrows have been present here for about two weeks.

At Sandy Cove I spotted three Harlequin Ducks fishing.
