It was much too nice a day to stay home raking leaves or doing laundry so
Wendy and I travelled out the Eastern Shore to see if some of the recently
reported birds were still around.
First stop was Bissett lake where we met up with Pat Chalmers and Jean
Hartley. Birds noted included:
 - 4 Ruddy Ducks (1m, 3f)
 - 14 American Coots
 - 1 Pied-billed Grebe (seen before Pat and Jean arrived, and didn't
reappear from the reeds)
 - ~15 Scaup (mostly or all Lessers)
 - 1 Tufted Duck (seen briefly and a long way out)
 - 1 Bald Eagle (sub-adult)

At West Lawrencetown Marsh:
 - ~ 100 American Wigeon (no Eurasian)
 - 2 Green-winged Teal
 - 4 Hooded Mergansers (1m, 3f)

At Conrad's Beach:
 - ~ 30 Red-breasted Mergansers
 - 2 Greater Yellowlegs
 - 4 Hooded Mergansers (all f)

Between Seaforth and Grand Desert on the 207:
 - ~30 Green-winged Teal

At Grand Desert (end of Dyke Road):
 - 3 Great Blue Herons
 - 1 Northern Flicker

Unfortunately, no Redhead or Great Egret, but a beautiful day to be outside!
