I was able to photograph it. -not a common winter bird in Pictou Co. There were more than normal WW Scoters off the Park today -58. While counting Geese in the lee of the bar at the entrance to Merigomish Hbr. at Kings Hd., an eagle put up a nice flock of Common Eider >40 on the north side of the bar which is not visible otherwise.
