Hi Don

The gallinule seems to prefer to walk, poke around, feed amid the reeds
along the edge of the pond. It seems shy and would swim away if it is
disturbed.

When I was there, it was feeding near the fenced power? utility? cement
building. It could easily be missed/ overlooked due to its being dark. It
moved along the edges and finally swam to the large patch of reeds - behind
the nursery (day) care centre at the back.

Worse if it moves to the back of the pond.

Liz

..............

Several of us have been to look for the gallinule over the morning with no
success. On what part of Red Bridge Pond was it seen today?

Don MacNeill
