  Subject: [NatureNS] Bluejay behaviour

I heard a light thud at one of my windows and on immediately going to =
investigate, found a bluejay on the deck below the window standing =
beside a clearly stunned goldfinch. On seeing me, the bluejay =
immediately picked the goldfinch up by the neck and flew off with it.

Is this unusual behaviour for a bluejay? Was it taking the goldfinch =
away to eat it?
