Nick and I saw the Common Gallinule today at around 3:30 at Red Bridge Pond=
. =A0It posed very well for us but we did not have our regular cameras just=
the point and shoot. =A0In accordance with a suggestion from one of our lo=
cal experts, I brought some salmon for it and tossed it into where it I usu=
ally see it (by the cattails across from the Irving). =A0It was feeding wel=
l but when the weather turns cold and the pond freezes-I am a bit concerned=
for it. Perhaps some fresh seafood chowder mix? =A0By the way, Nick named =
it "Vogel" (Dutch word for bird)=0A=0AI do know that another birder (that w=
e meet the other day in Bedford) told us that he has been dropping some foo=
d for it too. =A0Still if everyone can keep an eye on it and if it is not d=
oing well, contact either Cobequid Animal Rehab or Hope for Wildlife who ca=
n then take it for the winter.=0A=0ATuma Young=0AHalifax=0A=A0=0AKoqwaqja't=
