This is a very interesting observation. All the confirmed juncos with  
white wing bars hitherto in NS have been aberrant "Slate-colored" with  
white wing bars - not too uncommon. Indeed, there are almost no  
records of this subspecies (aikeni), with its highly restricted  
breeding and wintering range, in the East. But the description of  
Yarmouth bird - larger, paler and with more extensive white on the  
tail- reads like the real thing.

Every effort should be made to document and photograph this bird.
