This is a coyote that Liz Doull & I observed on the Grand Pre dykeland yesterday. He is in his day bed & is far more invisible than this zoom photo shows. Note the colour all around him. In fact, you HAD to be searching for Short-eared Owls in order to ever see him. And yet, this was taken from my car window. Shortly after, he was crossing the road in front of us & I will state that this is the largest coyote I have ever seen.
