Snow accumulation has been a rare occurrence this winter, but last night's
snow has tended to concentrate the birds. That weird junco came and went.
A fox sparrow and two trees (both rarely seen this winter), then a flicker
and Mrs. cardinal. A flock of at least five robins drew my attention,
around noon, then some smaller, blue guys hanging about a nearby apple tree
about 30 feet to the north of the house. Yup, at least four bluebirds.
Caught a couple of them in the binoculars and saw a chestnut throat so guess
they are easterners. When the sun came out briefly, the blue was almost
painfully bright.
They didn't stay long, but expect to see some of them again!
