Belted Kingfishers are not that unusual in Pictou Co. in winter with a =
number of open areas traditionally having one. It is unusual for anyone =
to contact me re Kingfishers, but today I had 2 reports from opposite =
ends of the county and fairly inland areas at that. Sandy MacGregor =
reported one in the MacLellan's Brook near Brookville and Kay Wilson had =
one in a natural open water area in her yard in Scotsburn. I did not see =
any myself today in a quick drive along more common open areas today.=20
cheers
Ken
