The lesson here is once again scan those flocks of common birds like mallards, robins, starlings, etc. etc. I'll bet I neglected to do that a day or two before sharp-eyed George Forsyth spotted it. Today there were 75 mallards and a single male common goldeneye that flew in while I was viewing. I had only my 7X binoculars and a scope was not needed, as long as lighting is good. BTW, I snuck up from below the building and never showed all of myself to the ducks. Cheers from jim in Wolfville.
