Hello folks=2C
=20
Although there have been a few Cedar Waxwings around Middleton since Januar=
y 1=2C and more moving around our area with robins since late January=2C I =
had not heard of any Bohemian Waxwings west of Grand Pr=E9 until this weeke=
nd. On Sunday 19 Feb.=2C along the Torbrook Mines Road (about 2016) in Me=
adowvale=2C there was a flock of at least 70 waxwings feeding on rotten app=
les still on trees there. I was able to count at least 39 Bohemians and 28=
Cedars in this group. And now I hear that James C. has hundreds in Kentvi=
lle. Do these mark the arrival of winter here? They are a joy to watch=
=2C anyway=2C and must rank among the most elegant of birds.=20
