Hi all
Over the weekend, I heard about 2 observations of a bat out during the =
day in the mild weather last week. Charlie Kendell reported one at a =
Truro golf course and a friend of Rick Ferguson saw one in the =
Parrsboro area. I believe the latter was reported to DNR. Sorry I did =
not take down any more details than that. Rick also heard a couple of =
Wilson's Snipe performing with Woodcock at the old Drummond Mine site in =
Westville last night (Mar.25). =20
I also saw a Merlin last evening at Waterside PP. Also on Mar 25, The =
Glaucous Gull was still present at Pier C in Pictou and I still had a =
single American Tree Sparrow at my feeder.=20
On Mar 22, I observed 11 sunning Painted Turtles along a pond in =
Coalburn, Pictou Co.=20
cheers
Ken
