This is a=0Aonce-a-year social, learning and experience event for n= aturalists. There will=0Abe wine and cheese and banquet nights interspersed= with field trips and hikes=0Ato local natural areas; layered with informat= ion given in illustrated talks by experts.=C2=A0=0A=0AThis year there will = be concurrent youth programming (geared to youth 8-12 but any age welcome) = with the theme: =E2=80=9CBecoming=0Aa Naturalist=E2=80=9D. Youth will explo= re the basic skills of a =0Anaturalist. Identifying=0Aspecies, observing wi= ldlife and nature and recording it will be key =0Aactivities=0Ain the progr= am. Youth will have a chance to create and use nature =0Ajournals and=0Alea= rn how to use the tools of the trade including field guides, keys,=0Abinocu= lars and more. We have a nice variety of workshops being offered =0Aon natu= ral history, birding, identifying trees, observing signs of =0Awildlife and= some great family field trips to the Northumberland Shore =0Aand Sugar Moo= n Farm. =0A=0AThere are ten youthsponsorshipsavailable to cover meals and a= ccommodations (for youth 8-12).
