This past Saturday, I went down to Red Bridge Pond where 'Vogle' the Common Gallinule was there and foraging around on the outer edges of the reed patch in front of the daycare center. Since I knew bad weather was coming, I tossed chopped, suet block, canned salmon and seafood catfood into the reeds around where it usually stays.
I did not return until this morning but unfortunately, I did not see Vogel at all, anywhere, around the circumference of Red Bridge Pond.
I was alerted by Liz Doull who had visited twice since the Easter snow storm and she did not see it at all either.
Hopefully, it is still out there & doing well, somewhere. Suffice to say that, it appears at this time, the Red Bridge Pond Common Gallinule may very well have 'moved on'.
Will check later on today & tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Gayle MacLean
Dartmouth
