In Lockhart-Ryan Park in New Minas, lots of open Mayflowers now (probably have been blooming for a few days). Blooming Forsythias are now nicely yellowing the countryside and towns, and daffodils too are showing up in larger numbers than the first early ones. Port Williams sewage ponds: 5+ tree swallows now present and flying about. THIS EVENING in Wolfville at 7:30 in Beveridge Arts Centre 241, Acadia Univ.: BLOMIDON NATURALISTS SOCIETY MEETING -- speaker is John Klymko on the Maritimes Butterfly Atlas project, after the 2nd year of the five-year undertaking.
