The trail is a project of the Avonport Peninsula Watershed
Preservation Society.

While Google StreetView has not been around the Avondale Peninsula
yet, you can easily find the trail be looking at this view from Google
Maps.

http://tinyurl.com/7tu8jtx

There are trails long the road to Avondale to indicate the community
trail. The trail starts at the small parking lot that is immediately
behind the Avondale Community Centre. If you look at where the
Avondale Crossing Road branches north from Avondale Road, the
community centre is the small building on the east side of the
Avondale Crossing Road, 200 metres north of the fork. The path runs
northeast along the top of the ravine (clearly visible) and after
crossing a small brook, makes a loop. Part of the trail runs along the
edge of a large open field.

If you continue about 100 metres past the community centre, on the
same side of the road is the now-open Avondale Sky winery. They made
the news last year when the moved an old church from Walton up the
river by barge, to use as their store. Definitily a must see! I would
also recommend the Avon River Heritage Museum near the wharf at the
end of Avondale Road. The view from there is remarkable.
