Nocturnal migration was the strongest yet last night (April 26-27) before
the rain set in. Most calls (63%) were before midnight indicating that birds
were leaving the area.

In total, 116 calls were recorded. Species counts were:

White-throated Sparrow - 52

Savannah Sparrow - 20

Song Sparrow - 4

Chipping Sparrow -3

Swamp Sparrow- 1

Unidentified Sparrows - 4

 

Palm Warbler - 18

Yellow-rumped Warbler - 2

Ovenbird - 1

Unidentified warbler - 1

 

Unidentified passerines - 10
