Thanks, Donna!, and I'm happy you had one -- this Spring has been one
to remember for its earlyness plus oodles of both indigo buntings and
blue grosbeaks -- normally N.S. gets a variable number of indigo
buntings and lesser numbers of blue grosbeaks, in late April through
May to early June, but this year there were many more of both and
they started very early. These are overshoots in northward migration
-- let's check on the Maritimes Breeding Bird Atlas for any recent
attempts at nesting in NB or NS or PEI. JW

I had an Indigo Bunting at the feeder on Tuesday evening. He was
moulting, but he still
looked fabulous!

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville.
