This afternoon, Monday, I just happen to be out at Bell Park and at one end
of Uniacke Estates.
Bell park is a lovely boreal forest walk and plants found in that environment
are starting to bloom. The Gold thread plant is in full bloom there and the
pink cypripediums (lady slippers) are just in bud in places.Blueberry are in
tight bud as were the Blue bead lily.
At Uniacke Estates while looking for a particular orchid species we came
across a Snapping turtle who we believe was nesting if laying in a deep
depression and not moving is the name for it.The shell and the muck around
it were the same colour. Good disguise.
Also I saw an oven bird very easily. Something can be said for waiting
quietly and patiently for another person. Good afternoon of nature gazing.

but with our understandings and our hearts.
