Hi All=0AI visited the old power dam in Clearland today - a long time inter=
est of mine.=0AIt has dug away the decades of silt and could now be called =
a weir.=0AHopefully it can be further lowered in the future.=0AThe Alewives=
 were going over stead. No great number at any time but it=0Awould add up i=
n a few days. Gulls have had =A0a few snacks on the rocks.=0AThe old dam it=
self is now down to its bones showing how it was constructed.=0AI'm not sur=
e if its an engineering marvel or a work of art!=0AThe parts that are dry h=
ave grown up in white pine mostly,=0Amost higher than my head. A good spot =
for warblers and sparrows.=0AA spotted sandpiper was on the rocks as well a=
s a kingfisher flying around.=0AA raptor of some sort flew by - far enough =
