Subject: Great Egrets

Laura had not seen the Great Egret yet so I took her to Roach's Pond =
after dinner this evening and there are now two Great Egrets present.

The beavers have provided a rich bird friendly habitat at the north end =
of Roach's Pond. Look for small waders here such as Sora and Virginia =
Rail. We followed the trail down to MacIntosh Run and noted several =
warbler species and thrushes singing. The Pink Lady's Slipper Orchid is =
about to open. Bluets, star flowers, lily of the valley and blue-bead =
lily are everywhere. This is a wonderful rich habitat.

Hans
