My annual warbler walk at Jerry Lawrence Provincial Park is on for =
Sunday, 7AM, June 3. We'll meet at the main parking lot, Jerry Lawrence =
Provincial Park. The walk is sponsored by the Five Bridges Heritage =
Wilderness Trust, the folks whose hard work made most of the western =
side of the Chebucto Peninsula into a wilderness reserve.

I've tallied 17 species of potential nesting warblers so far this year =
in the park, including Tennessee Warbler and Northern Waterthrush. The =
Tennessee Warbler continues to sing brightly looking for a mate. It's =
been singing for two weeks now. The Northern Waterthrush has gone silent =
which means it has left or is nesting. Canada Warbler has its redoubt on =
the northern shore of Lewis Lake which makes access near impossible =
except by boat. The Canada Warbler can be heard singing from the St. =
Margaret's Bay Trail opposite the north end of Lewis Lake.

We usually finish by noon.

Hans

PS: Don't confuse this walk with the Bird Society Walk on Saturday.
