This event follows actions outlined in The = Path We Share, A Natural Resources Strategy for Nova Scotia 2011-2020 = that directed the Parks and Recreation Division to challenge Nova = Scotians to work together to create a sustainable park system for 2020 = and beyond.=20 This invitation is being sent to you because your agency is recorded as = a participant in one of the earlier phases of the natural resources = strategy, or because we believe your agency may have an interest in, or = be affected by, the Nova Scotia Provincial Park system Along with representatives from municipal government in the region, we = are also inviting members of local NGOs, tourism associations, and = partner groups. During the session we will provide a brief overview of = the Nova Scotia Provincial Parks public engagement process. An external = facilitator will then conduct the discussions to gather what = participants value about the park system and what you see as priorities = for a sustainable (economically, socially and environmentally) park = system for the future.
