bject: Re: [NatureNS] Farmed Salmon=0A>=0A>Hi Sandy & All
Last night was the premiere of Salmon Wars, a film by Silver Donald
Cameron and Chris Beckett. It's professionally done and engaging
throughout the whole 70+ minutes.

To Dave and others who have been wondering about the scientific basis
for being cautious about open-pen net salmon farming, this film more
than adequately answers most of the questions you've been posing.

If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. It's freely available
for download or viewing online:
http://www.salmonwars.com/

There is a lot of useful and interesting information on wild salmon on
the Atlantic Salmon Federation website:
http://www.asf.ca/

Specifically, some of the peer-reviewed science material cited in the
film are here:
http://www.asf.ca/aquaculture-resources.html

If the Chinese are willing to pay $40+/lb for lobster from pristine NS
waters, perhaps there's something to be said for keeping it that way.
