I've been recording nocturnal migration over Doctor's Brook, Antigonish
County, since July 8. As expected, the majority of birds moving in this
coastal area are shorebirds. Nonetheless, there are small numbers of
songbirds, especially warblers, moving most nights. This may not be
migration in the true sense but a relocating of post-breeding birds within
their breeding region.

The summary of flight calls heard from the evening of 8 July to the morning
of 20 July is as follows:

Great Blue Heron - 2

Semipalmated Plover - 6

Killdeer - 2

Solitary Sandpiper - 5

Spotted Sandpiper - 6

Semipalmated Sandpiper - 55

Least Sandpiper - 1

Tern species - 4

Red-breasted Nuthatch - 3

Veery - 1

Swainson's Thrush - 3

Tennessee/Nashville/B-T Green Warblers have similar flight calls which I
have tentatively identified as:

            Tennessee - 1

            Nashville - 7

            Black-throated Green - 4

Northern Parula - 1

Yellow-rumped Warbler - 3

Blackburnian Warbler - 5

Palm Warbler - 2

Black-and-White Warbler - 2

American Redstart - 2

Zeep call warblers, Genus Setophaga - 2

Unidentified warblers - 4

White-throated Sparrow - 2

Unidentified passerines - 6

Other unidentified - 4

Total -- 133
