Yesterday here in Liverpool, in our backyard, we had hummingbirds in the =
flower garden and also at our feeder. We've had none practically since =
their arrival in N.S. The same for my sister in Halifax, again having =
none all summer, she had two all day at her feeder. Is there a chance =
that they maybe starting their migration, and if so, isn't it early. I =
know they were a lot earlier arriving this year. One person in Hunts =
Point saw one I believe in April!! =20

...............................
We have had a number of hummingbirds here since April. We have had the =
second nesters bring out their young Tuesday. They were teasing the =
males who were trying to feed. There were males everywhere here over the =
weekend and after dark which usually means they are fueling up. It is =
about a week early. So far at any rate in the numbers we had last summer =
or in the spring. I know of a number of mortalities sadly.=20
