There was a Great Egret at Miner's Marsh, Kentville this afternoon. It had
greenish skin around the eye, suggesting breeding plumage. It stayed
hunkered down on one of the islands, behind a grass tussock., and hardly
moved - it somehow didn't look very healthy. Other birds there included a
single F.Wood duck, an E.Wood-Pewee, and the usual large numbers of Mallard
ducklings.
