Hi all
Late this afternoon I went to Caribou ferry terminal to see if the =
herring fishery was in full operation yet or not. All the equipment was =
there and the boats were all geared up but no sign of any fish. I took a =
quick run out to the Caribou lighthouse to see if any birds were =
accumulating. There were 60 or so Grey Seals and maybe 500-600 mixed =
gulls, but no large accumulation of birds yet. I did see an adult =
Lesser Black-backed Gull on the bar by the lighthouse and I flushed an =
American Golden Plover from the road. It was raining too hard to look =
for anything more. There will likely more activity over the next week.=20
cheers
ken
