Many thanks to Rick Whitman for posting the news about the Marbled Godwit
that was in the Wolfville Harbour.

Larry and Antoinette Neily and I arrived and found no sign of the Marbled
Godwit. We spotted a pectoral sandpiper we almost dismissed as Least
sandpiper. A merlin flew by, but did not scare away the yellowlegs.

Just before 5 pm, the Marbled Godwit flew in so we all got good looks it and
took some photos. It foraged on the mud and sometimes in the water and
slowly moved inwards and later westwards. At the end, it got spooked by a
rather patchy (not all black, maybe a youngster?) raven so it flew and
disappeared into the estuary (?). To be exact, it was present between 4:55
pm and 6:39 pm, more than 1 hour and 4 minutes.

No we didn't see the Caspian Terns in the harbour.

Cheers,
Liz
