The snowy egret made a surprise visit to Big Island Tuesday morning. Unfortunately it did not stay after being spooked by the juvenile bald eagle. It headed SW. At one point it was flying towards the tall tree on which the adult bald eagle was perching. It diverted to the left to avoid being a meal! Cheers Liz
