All:

As I got in the door from an outing with Dave Currie to Hartlen Pt.,
which produced relatively modest bird numbers and nothing unusual,
Carl Haycock was on the phone to report what he described as one of
the biggest shows of migrants on Brier I. in his 28 years of residence
there.

He reported large flocks of hawks, falcons, Blue Jays, and chickadees
on the move when he was walking his dog, beginning yesterday
afternoon. Who knows what might lurk among them.

With nor'easterlies now ('til when?) things might hunker down there
for a while.

Cheers, Ian

Ian McLaren
