I saw the hawk make a flying dive at a starling perched on a power-line, to no avail. At the feeders a cock pheasant showed up, this one with a partial broad white collar only in the front of the neck, and with his red facial combs as full and red as they can be. Later a hen pheasant showed up too, and the make went after her with aggressive courtship moves over and over again, just like in Spring.
