This was another big week for sparrow migration. White-throated Sparrows
were the most dominant species, totally 1,750 calls; the most calls for a
single species in a week this year. There was still a strong movement of
Yellow-rumped Warblers, Palm Warblers, and diminishing Common Yellowthroats.
It is the first week that I heard American Robins migrating at night.
Rare/unusual birds this week included: Brown Thrasher 1 (probable), Pine
Warbler 2 (probable), Prairie Warbler 2 (probable), Field Sparrow 1
(possible), Fox Sparrow 7 (probable), White-crowned Sparrow 2 (probable),
Indigo Bunting 1 (probable). The summary of all night flight calls recorded
