This evening around 5:00 I heard an osprey calling. Surprised, I looked up as it flew about 100 ft. over my house with a fish grasped in its talons. Because I live at least 1/2 mile from the water, I was wondering why it was going to a nearby nest at this time of year. Then, a couple of seconds behind, an eagle was flying in the same direction, then another one seemingly in pursuit. I wonder if the fish was in jeopardy, or was it the osprey? Billy
