Somewhere in my neighbourhood there is a hollow tree stuffed with black oil sunflower seeds.<br><br>Of passing interest are semi regular Evening Grosbeaks, which have been rare in these parts last few years. If I'm not out working in the yard, my feeder will be emptied in a matter of hours. Can't blame them too much as it is their instinct to hoard and I take some consolation that many other birds and animals probably dine on the hidden caches! As Paul says, it also helps to distribute seeds and contribute to forestry regeneration. Wish I had room for a few of those chestnut seedlings, Paul!
