As it banked I could = see that it was a large falcon in full soar. The wings were long and = pointed, evenly curved along the leading and trailing edges. The tail = was spread wide, quite long and I could see that it was barred. The = lighting was not good and the entire underside appeared quite dark but I = could make out narrow barring on the primaries and mottling on the belly = but I couldn't say whether it was barred or streaked.=20 The bird made a few flaps and went back into full soar circling high = above the bridge deck near one of the support structures. At that point = I lost sight of it in the sun and above my vehicle.=20 I'm quite sure it was Peregrine but at no point was I able to see the = moustache stripe or get a good enough look to clinch the ID.
