James Hirtle and Dorothy Poole have asked me to report that they have just (about 1:30pm)
found a N. Lapwing at the W end of Hirtle's Beach in the area of the pond outflow.

Unfortunately, the bird left spontaeously within a few minutes and was last seen flying
westward toward the base of Gaff Point. So somewhere between the open fields near Upper
Kingsburg, or farther west in western Lunenburg Co. or eastern Queen's Co., there is
probably a Lapwing waiting to be found.
