This past Friday around 3PM all of us who were walking along the boardwalk by Grahams Grove, got to see an unusual sight in the very bright sunny sky. It was a small patch of a rainbow within a tiny cloud formation that can best be described as wispy and in close proximity to the sun.
Anyway, I sent Cindy Day an email asking what it might be. She said it was a Circumhorizontal Arc.
It was VERY cool indeed and very beautiful! The appearance lasted at least 10 minutes. Alas, none of us had a camera or even a cell phone that could take pictures!
