I was watching a couple of Common Loons off Fort Pt, Lahave, Lun Co. yester=
day. Their calls were short low plaintive notes that at first I thought mus=
t be a crow somewhere in the distance. Usually the loons I see in winter ar=
e solitary not interacting like these ones were. I did not see a reference =
to this sound on iBird Pro or the Peterson app.=0A=0A=0AIs anyone else fami=
