Other than the seafood chowder, the highlight for me was an innocuousness lump at the water's edge that didn't move. I ignored it. A few seconds later, while counting ducks, Krista said, "What's that bird?" The lump moved. But what an exciting lump...you can see all the cropped, but otherwise unaltered photos at http://people.stfx.ca/rlauff/photos/pictouplover/. Of course, I'm dreaming that this is a Ringed Plover, but even a Semipal would be a nice find in January. Comments?
