Yesterday I was home for the day, so was watching my feeders more than I am usually able to do. I was delighted to see a female Northern Cardinal, which fed on spilled seed.. There have been a couple of cardinals which have made brief appearances in my yard in the last couple of years, but they never came to the feeders. Perhaps this one will become a regular. Its appearance brightened my day!
